Today I visited Wildcat Creek Park (Lafayette, IN). It was nice and calm, and the creek was full, bubbling, and flowing. The sound of the birds chirping relaxed my mind and ears. All I hear every day is the whirring of the humidifier, vibration of the aquarium air pump, and rumble of the refrigerator. Today's unplanned deviation from my normal routine was a welcome respite, indeed! Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of green showing up yet, but the small growths are peaking out from the ground and branches; it's quite a lovely reminder of what's to come later in the spring.
